Building A Relationship
At Crave Dog Training, we believe that the start of any good relationship begins with fun and excitement! Your dog does not see the world as we do. Dog's are all about finding the easiest way to survive in the most comfortable fashion. If you develop a strong relationship with your pet, they will begin to trust you in any situation you can put them through.
We find that the best way to build that trust and excitement is through play! Every dog is going to have a different play style, and even some dogs may prefer simple affection over any sort of play in general.
Finding the right game for your dog can be crucial to how interactive they are with you. Once we can form this bond together, we can start taking steps into obedience.
Practical Obedience
We establish the foundation of obedience for functional and practical use. We start with conditioning the behaviors and creating desired responses to environmental stressors. We teach dogs to be obedient in any situation, regardless of distractions.
Our Training
We work with all types of dogs, regardless of breed, age, or size. Every dog is unique, we take that into consideration when forming our relationship through play, when we use different tools, and when we utilize our reward based system.
Family environment
We take family settings into consideration when working with our clients.
When you book through our board and train programs, your pet will be integrated into our family during their stay. They will see our children running throughout the house, family coming to visit, introduced to brooms, mops, vacuums, etc. They'll even participate in family gatherings! No pet is left out during our Christmas or Thanksgivings, your pet will always come first.
If you book through our lessons, you will receive a packet of information to help ensure that you can integrate the training into your home after each lesson.
Respect
We have a responsibility to treat our clients with the utmost respect. The same goes for dogs. We understand that every dog is different and has boundaries. Our training methods work to improve the overall health and well-being of our clients and their pets.
